Panthers Win First Conference Game

SR DT Cory Beirdeman and SR DE Alex Holmes prepare for the first play of the game

The Greenville College Panthers are now 1-0 in conference and 3-1 overall after a 20-13 win over the Eureka College Red Devils.

The weather for the game was not ideal, and the Panthers had to fight through rain, cold weather, and strong winds. The Panthers scored early with a rushing touchdown by JR RB Anthony Ambers. The defense held strong and only allowed 7 points in the first half, only allowing 1 TD.

The second half was much of the same, with both defenses making it tough for an offense to find the endzone. In the end, the Panthers ground game was too much for the Red Devils to handle, as Panther runningbacks found the endzone 2 more times in the second half.

The Panthers go into another bye week next week and are looking forward to Homecoming vs. MacMurray on Oct. 17th.

Great job Panthers!
