Greenville To Host 2009 Victory Bowl

The Greenville College football team is hosting the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Victory Bowl.  This is only the third postseason football game in the history of GC football and first since 2001.  Greenville’s opponents are the Geneva College Golden Tornados of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.  The Panthers qualified for the Victory Bowl on November 7 and were invited to host the game on Saturday following their win over LaGrange and Geneva’s loss to Westminster of Pennsylvania.  The Panthers’ record of 7-2 currently ranks them as the top team in the NCCAA.  This is the Panthers’ best season record since winning 8 games in 1993 and first postseason game at home in school history.
