Ambers, Binder Receive National Acclaim

GREENVILLE, ILL---Senior running back Anthony Ambers (Apple Valley, CA) and senior cornerback James Binder (Stockton, CA) were both recognized for their stellar play in the Panthers 35-7 win aganist St. Scholastica last Saturday.

Ambers and Binder were named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week and UMAC Defensive Player of the Week respectfully for games played on October 9th, 2010.
Both players were also named to the D3Football.com National Team of the Week, a first for Greenville College.

Ambers rushed for 221 yards on 28 carries and 4 touchdowns.

Binder pulled in 2 interceptions in addition to his 3 tackles. He was also part of the secondary that held the starting quarterback of the Saints to 102 passing yards.

Both players look to build on this success as they host MacMurray College (0-5, 0-2 UMAC). Kickoff is 1PM CST at Francis Field in Greenville, IL.
