Coach Rode, “We were really excited when Joey committed to being a member of the EMAP Nation. He will bring a strong work ethic into this program because he is determined to succeed at the college level. He is a QB that has a strong arm and a quick release. His ability to throw and be mobile in the pocket will give him a big chance to make an impact on the field.”

Coach Gaylord, “Sean has been one of our top targets this recruiting season. I am very happy that he has decided to come to Greenville. His senior year Sean did whatever the team needed on the field. This is the attitude that will help he be incredible successful here. Sean is going to be another Florida guy who makes a huge impact for the Panthers both on and off the field.”

Mario Thompson

Coach Schenk, “Mario is another signee from Mt. Vernon High School. Coach Mings has been a great help in sending guys our way and he let me know from the 1st time I met him that Mario would be a great fit in our program! So we are very excited to get Mario here the fall and see him develop. My hope is that he has a great summer and develops physically throughout and comes to camp in the best shape he has ever been!”

Ben Cunningham

Coach Schenk, “Ben is a guy who had a tough senior season. After a successful junior year he was injured very early. We are excited that Ben will get more chances to play football. I am looking forward to having Ben as a part of the program because he already knows who we are and what we’re all about. Watching his brother graduate from Greenville gave Ben vision for what it will be like here.”

John Kandels

Hometown: Ferrgus Falls, MN

High School: Fergus Falls Otters

Position: OL

Awards: 12th Man of the Year Award

Coach Schenk, “John will be a great asset for the Greenville College Football program. He is following in his father’s footsteps coming to Greenville and we couldn’t be more excited. John will have to get used to the heat of southern Illinois but I’m sure he will adapt easily. John will have a big impact for us during his career and we can’t wait for him to begin.”
