Greenville Wins UMAC Co-Conference Championship

The Greenville College Panthers 27-16 win over Northwestern College on Saturday gave the Panthers a share of the conference championship with a 7-1 conference record.  This is the 3rd time in 4 years that the Panthers have stood atop the UMAC standings.  The win gave the Panthers a 33.3% chance at representing the conference in the NCAA division III playoffs, but a random draw conducted on Saturday night went to the College of St. Scholastica.   There is still a possibility that the Panthers 2012 season will end in a post-season bowl bid to the NCCAA Victory Bowl.
