Greenville College JV vs. Midwest Prep Academy

Greenville College JV finished off a great season with an impressive 18-12 double overtime win versus Midwest Prep. Impressive defensive play by both teams ruled most of the game but Midwest Prep was able to crack the scoreboard first to go ahead 6-0 in the second quarter. The Greenville offense responded quickly on a trick play pass from Jordan Mixon to Derek Greifzu. This touchdown put the score at 6-6 going into the half. The second half once again was dominated by both defenses including multiple fourth down stops for the Panther defense. The fourth quarter ended with the score tied at 6-6. Overtime started with the Midwest offense getting the score and missing the ensuing extra point. This open the door for the Panther offense who scored on a Mixon touchdown run. The two point conversion was no good forcing a second overtime. In the second overtime the Panther defense rose to the occasion once again with a huge fourth down stop. The Panther offense then had the ball on the 25 yard line going in to win the game. Juan Carbajal scored the winning touchdown with a powerful 4 yard run to give the Panthers the 18-12 win. Congrats to the JV team on their first win of the season!
