Class of 2016 Part 8: A Class Full of Character and Talent

This edition of the incoming freshman class features some highly decorated athletes who exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete! As always, help us welcome them to the family! 




Name: Miguel Fabian

Position: Linebacker
Awards / Honors: All League, All Desert Sun, MVP
Major: Education
Why did he choose Greenville: “I chose Greenville because I felt like this school was the best fit for me and I felt very welcomed to Greenville. They offered to give me a chance to not only continue my education but also continue my football career.”
Coaches Flannery: “Miguel is exactly what we are looking for at the linebacker position.  He is very physical, sheds blockers extremely well, and has a great knack for finding the football.  Miguel fills a big need at this position after graduating three seniors line backers.  Throughout the recruiting process Miguel has demonstrated a great desire to be at GC, so we are very excited to welcome him and see him grow holistically in his time here.”

Why did he choose Greenville: “I chose Greenville because I felt like it was a great opportunity
I feel like the staff and the coaches are going to do their best to help me become a better person and athlete.”
Coach Laune: “I am very excited to see what Kevin can accomplish during his four years here at Greenville. Kevin is a tremendous football player with an excellent work ethic. He has been blessed with great athleticism and we are very excited to see him a panther uniform this fall.”

Why did He Choose Greenville : “I chose Greenville college because of their education and the sports opportunity they gave me.”
Coach Flannery: “We are excited to welcome Anthony to the Greenville College Football family!  On top of football, Anthony will also be competing on our men’s track team in the spring, as he was a dual sport athlete in high school.  Anthony will join the corner back position as his speed and athletic ability fits exactly what we ask that position to do.”

Position: Defensive Back

Why did he choose Greenville? “The reason I choose Greenville College because I felt it was the best college to attend while I go further in my education & become a better man as well as an athlete & God put coach Laune in my life for a reason and he's had a tremendous impact on my life so far. Thank you God!”

Why did you Choose Greenville?I choose Greenville based upon the opportunity for a fresh start somewhere away from home, also Greenville showed the most interest upon the other schools and showed how committed they are in helping their players succeed.”
